Hi! Please could someone help a confused newbie? I have a very basic scene in max, and one of my materials has a opacity map containing an alpha layer. The entity within max renders with the appropriate transparency (it's a rectangle alpha-blended to look like a fence), but in the pipeline viewer (or indeed within blitz), the entity has no transparency. Where am I going wrong?
Many thanks!

Thanks for the reply! Turns out I couldn't work out what to do because the plugins hadn't all installed.. so I never actually had the blitzMap texture map! A quick reinstall later, and everything fell into place!
Thanks again...

I'm still having problems, I'm afraid. Could someone explain what I am doing wrong... everything looks fine in max, but I don't get transparency in the blitz viewer...
I have a .tiff file with an alpha channel. I have a blitz3d texture map in my materials diffuse color map with the above file. I have the same blitz3d texture map in my materials opacity channel. Whatever I set the blend and flags to, I still do not get transparency (in the blitz viewer). (I have read the documentation!)
Please, please could someone explain where I have gone wrong?
Many, many thanks!

i didnt know, that blitz3d is able to load TIFFs use png or tga instead...apply an alphachannel on it and enable the "alpha"-flag in the b3dmap...thats all. really.
