Thanks for your suggestions!! Sorry, what do you mean by userlib documentation?? I am not sure to understand, but let's try to answer There is (in version 1.1) a special feature (in the "functions only" tab, see screenshot) to put automatically your own functions in a userlib. This allows you to have the function highlighted in the IDE + access to the documentation of the function by pressing F1 (two times). I should say that this works perfectly in the Blitz IDE, but I haven't tested it in Protean... Or maybe your question was about the documentation of this new feature? In this case, that's already documented. Go in the table of content of the help of Cod2Doc, then there is chapter called "Highlight functions in the IDE + quick help F1". That's the one. The use of the GUI itself for this feature is explained in the chapter "Use of the main window" (under "function tab"). Ho yes! I would like too I have done myself 2 styles (Blitz Basic and Cod2Doc), and a user (Nebula) has done 1 style (DarkPrince). So in fact now I would like that other users create some nice style too!! I am unfortunately not enough good to create nice style If you feel like an artist, why not add a new one?? Yes, I was about to put this feature in Cod2Doc (I didn't finally)!! I think it should be very cool (and not only for protean!). I will keep this suggestion into my to-do list...

Ho, I see what you mean! You mean automatic documentation of userlibs!! So userlibs and .bb files put on an equal footing!! I have never thought of that before!! But why not??...

And what about translations? I'm italian...and I can translate it if you please...just locate every text in an external file...
Another question...
Can Doc2Cod works with command line files? Eg...Drag & drop a file on its icon?
bye...

Concerning translation, up to now, only the words present in the documentation (like "description:", "return value", ...) could be translated. That's very easy, you just have to translate the file english.txt in the Languages\ folder, and call it italian.txt or italiano.txt, or whatever . So if you are candidate to translate this into italian, you are very welcome (only 50 words to translate !!) But you are right, maybe I should also put a special files to translate the GUI itself. I put it on my to-do list !! Concerning your second question: no, Cod2Doc doesn't support the drag and drop. But Cod2Doc is written in Blitz, and have NO idea at all if it's possible in Blitz Do you know if it's possible. Also, there is no command line (but it's easy to add one). But tell me first why would it be useful?? Thanks for all these very good suggestions!!

well...times ago i realize a software like your...name Blitz2DocII...
Works exacty like your but few functions... The good of that works was that command line and drag&drop (extactly the same thing) working perfectly... After creation the explorer will be opened...
There is a function named CommandLine$() in blitz that helps you...(or something similar...I'm in office now...later I will be in home...)
Do some experiments, try to show the result of drag&drop over icon with print Commandline$() .. Just a trick...work with quotes (remove or add don't remember) find me in sclano@hotmail.com
Sorry for my english...
oh...BTW...I'll try to translate your file...
Ciao Gianluca

Many thanks, BitmaniaK !! I didn't knew that the commandLine() command was also supporting Drag&Drop !! Great!! I will implement this in Cod2Doc! (by the way, the commandLine would be also useful to start Cod2Doc from an IDE).
Many thanks also for the Italiano translation!! I will put as soon as possible in the current version of Cod2Doc as well as on the download section of the Cod2Doc web page...
It seems that the version 1.2 of Cod2Doc will come sooner that I have expected!!

Just another little suggestion... many many times we write some code that uses sub functions in many part of it... Sometimes we don't want that those subfunctions are showed to the user (as private/protected functions in oop)..
Supposing create a code for lensFlares.bb we want show in documentation only.. - createLensFlare - updateLensFlare - destroyLensFlare but don't want to show our functions eg: - testIfExist() - calculateNormalsWithFlares() - countFlares ()
and also variables.. - globalFlareCount - globalFlareList[]
etc..
How we can avoid to show that unuseful declarations in documents?
Can we use some meta-code in comments before function/variables declaration? eg: ;*** Global declarations global globalFlareCount% ;<PRIVATE>
where <PRIVATE> is for not show?
ciao

Hi BitmaniaK,
this feature is already implemented in Cod2Doc! Here is the description of the veto tag extracted from the Cod2Doc documentation:
This means that every lines placed between ;noDocumentation and ;/noDocumentation won't be taken into account. For example, you could put all your private variables together and put these 2 tags around them.
Is it what you need? Or you would like also a tag which could be put on the same line as the function or variable? Like: Global myVar ; blabla ;private

After a (long) pause for Cod2Doc, I am now back to work on the next version. - Drag'n'Drop is now fully functionnal!! - And I have added a new flag (;!!) which will prevent a variable/function/type to be in the documentation.
For example: global var1 ; My var blabla global var2 ;!! My second var blabla
Var1 will be in the documentation whereas var2 won't! It works the same with function or type (even field)!!
Thanks Bitmaniak for these suggestions...
But there is also a lot more to come !!!
